What will scare away raccoons? What smells repel raccoons? We all know that cayenne pepper repels raccoons. These pesky rodents hate the smell of cayenne. Therefore using this repellent spray is a good solution. Add 1 small canister of cayenne and 1 bottle of hot sauce to a gallon of water.
